Orders are received around the clock to the server. On-site production
workstations processes these periodically, creating production print
files, according to the date the order was processed.
Orders/items can have the following statuses:
| new | Order has been received, but not yet processed to a print file on a production workstation. |
| production | The order/item is being physically produced. |
| pending | Ship labels are printed;
waiting for packaging and shipping. |
| shipped | Completed order. |
| cancel | Order was cancelled. |
| error | Some problem with order, usually with the recipient address. |
Once the day's production is finished and ready for packaging, use the
Controls page to locate the order day you want .
The drop-down labeled "All classes" can be used to separately print labels for standard or express labels, same day labels (labels that must be tendered they day printed, or rush production orders.
Then in the row for "production" status click the "Label ..." button so the server will be signaled to produce ship labels, and the items will be marked pending status.
Use the Search page to look up the order, find the shipment listed, and
click "relable" for the desired shipment (there might be more than one
shipment for an order that has multiple product types). The
shipment(s) will be sent back through the carrier and a new ship label
should be printed.
Occasionally a ship label will need to be created outside of the Fulfiller system. Since these labels are not processed normally, you will need to manually set the label. In the line for the shipment, select "edit" and enter the tracking number, if known.
If you don't have a tracking number, just enter "MANUAL" or whatever for tracking. You may also select the "Manual Label" ship method.
Reprint holds are used on products where multiple orders are grouped in a single print file. A product group can be configured to hold reprints until all reprints for the day have been sent. That way files with only one or two reprint items won't be created, and reprints can be printed the same day they are sent.
For product groups configured to hold reprints, use the same reprint features as usual: Order Edit page reprint product or reprint item, barcode scan reprint, and Files page reprint.
The Controls page will show the number of held reprint items. Note that the number of held reprints will be the same for any date selected on the Controls page (held reprints are not organized by date).
To release the held reprint items, use the "Do Reprints Now" button. Reprinted items will appear on files at the end of yesterday's files. After Do Reprints Now, you can see that item count appear as new status items on yesterday's counts until they are produced.
